He suggested that tension rises steadily to a peak and then is followed by rising action to ensure audiences interest is maintained. Once dramatic tension reaches a climax it is then released quickly during the resolution.
I put this theory into practise and created a Freytag diagram for our soundtrack. We are going to use this diagram when writing up our narrative, were going to use the key points such as rising action, climax and falling action and plot our narrative within this.
